TOGETHERNESS SUPREME is a Kenyan movie which is the story of Kamau an artist, Otieno a hustler and their shared love interest for Alice a preachers daughter. All three live in Kibera, East Africa’s largest shantytown home to a million people in Nairobi Kenya. All three are from different tribes but are searching for tribal unity. The film follows these three characters in their quest for change in the community they live in their, fights, challenges and victories. After the Kenya presidential elections Kibera is soon torn apart by conflicting tribal loyalties and so are the three characters.

Set against the backdrop of the start of the devastating post-election violence that took place in Kenya in 2007/2008 and has left tens of thousands of Kenyans homeless, traumatized or dead, Taharuki (Suspense) is the fictional account of a man and woman from opposing ethnic tribes who’re working for an underground liberation movement to expose a child-trafficking cartel when something goes wrong, and they’re forced to make tough choices in order to stay alive and complete their mission. Time is running out, lives are at stake, and every second counts. What they choose could change the course of history.

Heal The Nation

Heal the nation is a 30 minute documentary…a touching story, an eyewitness account…of the tragedy that befell Kenyans after the 2007 December elections. Victims and perpetrators meet as they narrate their stories on Kenya worst tribal conflict that left over 1,500 dead and nearly 500,000 people internally displaced. A cry for justice and reconciliation rings through this documentary and what will happen if we don’t reconcile before 2012 elections.

The Knife Grinder’s Tale

Based on the short story by award winning Kenyan author, Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor, THE KNIFE GRINDER’S TALE tells the tragic story of a father’s journey to understand why his son was pointlessly murdered in the slums of Nairobi.

Hip Hop Colony

In the mid 90’s Hip Hop music took some of its first baby steps on Kenyan media, many doubted its legitimacy. Ten years later it’s become a legitimate industry that’s not only creating employment for the artists but for youth as well. Hip hop is the biggest culture in the world today.

In recognizing the significant accomplishment Hip Hop has had in our country. We made a film titled Hip Hop Colony that celebrates the genesis and continuous rise of Hip Hop in Kenya . This is a film of epic promotions, capturing and placing the Kenyan youth within a worldwide revolution with tremendous effects.

Simiyu Samurai

This Kenyan movie is about Boniface Simiyu who goes to Samurai school in Japan and then has to return after that country suffers one of its many tsunamis.

On his arrival in Kenya Simiyu is received by the warm love of his Grandmother Naomi and his little cousin. However, there is trouble, he gets into an altercation with goons who run a protection racket in his home village where his grandmother is a trader. After an almighty fight he is given a choice by the goons; surrender or his grandma and his new love (Zinzy) interest get machetted.

In an interesting turn of events, the movie ends as the audience is asked to vote by SMS on how the movie should proceed. The series can be followed (and watched for free) on the show website www.simiyusamurai.com. The hope is that the show can engage the audience and earn revenues by employing this method.

The Return of Lazarus

Two brothers, Lazarus (Alexandros Koch) and Kiriakos (Nelson Lucas), set for a road trip in Maronia, Northern Greece, in order to find the mythical cave of the Cyclops where King Maron used to hide his wine. According to the myth if you drink from this wine you gain the eternal youth. Kiriakos wants to become young again in order to rejoin the Boy Scouts after they expelled him recently for life. Lazarus is trying to find himself after losing his job, his house while he still hopes to bring back his divorced wife, whom he still loves. On their journey they meet different people including King’ora (Lizz NJagah), a Kenyan woman who works in a local hotel. Very soon sparks begin to fly between her and Kiriakos.

The Return of Lazarus is the first feature film Alexandros shot in Greece. The edit of the movie will start in November and the aim is to premier it next year both in Greece and Kenya. The film is a Greek movie with a Kenyan touch.

Mob Doc

Mob Doc is a Kenyan movie about Dr McCartney – a doctor who is struck off because of his alcoholism and is kidnapped by a Nairobi gang that turns him into their physician while feeding his habit. In order to stay alive the doctor must cure the Mob Boss (Joseph Kinuthia) whose sex life is threatened.

Haunted

In the Kenyan movie “Haunted”, Wairimu is a writer with writer’s block. In order to overcome it she decides to follow her brother and his 3 friends to a field trip adventure in an empty huge house where they used to live when they were very young kids. But the house keeps some deadly secrets that only Wairimu knows. But sooner than later the secrets come forward with the help of a ghostly guest. A spooky Kenyan ghost story with an ending that will haunt you for ever.”

Lydia Gitachu is the secretive writer, starring together with David Lomunyak, Boniface Loppoh, Brenda Mwai, Methu Muthoni and guest appearance by Pinky Ghelani. The film is directed by Oskari Korenius and Egregious Jitu and produced by Alexandros Konstantaras and Evelyn Kahungu.
